Biodiversity at Milford Preschool

Grow Wild at Milford Pre-School
Milford Pre-School is also keen to encourage insects and enhance the biodiversity of their environment. There are many hungry birds on the site that need those insects and it’s never too early to learn first=hand about food chains! With this in mind, the school joined our Grow Wild project.
The school has sown two packs of wildflower seeds, one of which was the free seeds given out by Grow wild. When the opportunity arose to sow some Seedballs, teacher Sarah Rix was undaunted by a lack of space. She simply bought some trellis, planted the Seedballs in recycled plastic bottles and attached them to the trellis. Growing AND recycling. Genius!
