Pennington Junior School: Reflections on a Meadow
Published on 2015-10-06 by Gill Hickman
Following an assembly in early October, Pennington Junior School are taking part in Postcard to Paris. This fits in well with the school’s focus on energy and on global dimension.
The school’s wildflower meadow gave huge pleasure in the summer term, including a win in Lymington Carnival, as reported on this blog. The meadow continues to flower into and beyond autumn half term. Its seeds are now feeding the resident birds, normally attracted into the garden by feeders of peanuts and niger seed. Photos show goldfinches, sparrows and a cat that is unfortunately attracted by the birds.
